DOUGLASTON-LITTLENECK PUBLIC LIBRARY
The New Douglaston-Littleneck library in Queens, NY is situated at the intersection of an urban corridor and a coastal marshland. We drew inspiration from this greater site context to design the library’s public spaces. The library is located along a hummingbird flyway, so we designed a pollinator landscape to attract both people and hummingbirds in a much-needed new greenspace for the Douglaston-Littleneck community.
