Douglaston-Littleneck Community Library, Queens, NY

The new Douglaston-Littleneck Community library in Queens, NY is situated at the intersection of urban corridor and marshland. Together with BKSK architects, we drew inspiration from the greater site context to design the library’s public spaces. Upon learning that the library is located in a hummingbird flyway, we designed a pollinator landscape to attract both people and hummingbirds in a much needed greenspace for Douglaston-Littleneck.
