Assemblage awarded NYSDEC grant to continue Climate-Adaptive Waterfront Design in Hudson, NY
We are pleased to announce that we have been awarded $200K from NEIWPCC, NYS DEC, and HREP to continue our climate-adaptive waterfront work with the City of Hudson. Together with LaBella Associates, we will advance our design to enhance three acres of underutilized open space for community use and habitat enhancement. The design will help prepare for advancing waters with nature based solutions and add community value through new greenspace, boardwalks, pier, water access, and a natural play area. The timing of the grant is well-synchronized with the adjacent Dunn Warehouse development improvements, making the perfect opportunity to create a comprehensive design for the south end of the park. This will be a catalyst project and a great step to demonstrate that the City of Hudson is a leader in climate adaptation for the Hudson River Estuary!
